We have used our industry expertise to develop introductory courses to develop our customer’s awareness of these business concepts and to underpin a minimum standard of competency.

Scheduling Principles and Concepts

To achieve business success through Project Management, it is critical that organisations are skilled in the practice and methods of project planning and scheduling. Many organisations suffer from a lack of ability to truly “drive” their projects with a systematic approach, which in turn reduces the chance of them achieving their project objectives. This workshop has been designed to address these issues. The course covers the generic principles and concepts that form the foundation of all Project Management planning and scheduling techniques.

Introduction to Risk Management Workshop

As a competent Project Manager, your project now has a decent Work Breakdown Structure; You’ve added Milestones and Activities and linked them all together;  You may have assigned some Resources to work on those activities; You almost certainly have Costs time-phased across your schedule.

But how confident are you in meeting your end date or any of your interim milestones?  How good were your initial estimates of key activities?  Are you sure your critical activities as shown by your CPM analysis are really the main drivers of your end date? How much cost contingency should you allow for?  Are there some potential adverse events out there that could throw your carefully crafted schedule completely out?  Do you have a ‘Plan B’ or even ‘Plan C’ should any of these events occur?

There is no such thing as a risk-free project.

Risk Analysis and Risk Management are essential weapons in the Project Manager’s arsenal. They enable you to identify and quantify risks and uncertainty on your projects and then plan mitigation strategies where appropriate and agreed.  Having a fully documented, usable Risk Management Plan means that those unknowns out there are no longer as threatening as they were, and you can get on with delivering what your client needs on time and under budget.
